In Fret Not, three deeply supportive plants combine to offer respite to a restless mind.
DESCRIPTION
Fret Not brings together Milky Oats, Tulsi and California Poppy, three of our favorite nervous system-nourishing plants, to offer calm on the toughest days.
Milky Oats help to literally rebuild frayed myelin sheath, or the insulating layer of protein and fatty substances that form around nerve endings, which can become physically damaged when we experience stress. Tulsi, or Holy Basil, is a brightening, sweet and steadying plant whose adaptogenic properties may enable it to help the body better adapt to periods of intensity. California Poppy provides a backbone of fast-acting nervous system relief.
INGREDIENTS
Non-gmo spirits, fresh Milky Oat (Avena sativa) tops*, fresh Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) leaf* and fresh California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) flower*
*Organic
TO USE
Shake well. Take two to three dropperfuls as needed.

Happy Tummy, featuring Yellow Dock, Cardamom, Ginger, Ceylon Cinnamon and honey is here to support your digestive journey.
DESCRIPTION
The bitter flavor takes center stage in this blend, thanks largely to Yellow Dock: a weedy, liver-supporting root herb that grows abundantly throughout our bioregion.
When with our mouths we taste the bitter flavor, our liver secretes digestive enzymes and our stomach begins the digestive process. Bitters have traditionally been used to ease indigestion, gas, bloating and constipation. Use this tincture daily to help strengthen gut function and address digestive upset.
INGREDIENTS
Non-gmo spirits, foraged Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus) root, Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) bark*, fresh Ginger (Zingiber officinale) root*, Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) pods* and local honey
*Organic

Tingle and tickle the microorganisms responsible for a scratchy throat into oblivion with our Throat Spray
DESCRIPTION
One of our most-loved cold remedies, the backbone of our Throat Spray is Spilanthes, a medicinal plant native to Africa, South Asia and South America full of isobutylamides.
Isobutylamides are a type of alkamide that cause a tingling sensation in the mouth. Similar to the sensation we experience eating Sichuan peppercorns—because Sichuan peppercorns are rich in isobutylamides, too—the light tingling you feel after a spritz of our Throat Spray means the formula is doing its job!
We rounded out this blend with Angelica and Elecampane, two beloved respiratory herbs, Anise Hyssop, a Mint family aromatic that coats inflamed throat tissue and honey from a local apiary.
Comes with spray pump.
INGREDIENTS
Non-gmo spirits, Spilanthes (Acmella oleraceae) flower, Anise Hyssop (Augastache foeniculum) flower, Elecampane (Inula helenium) root, Angelica archangelica root, water and local honey
TO USE
Pump three to four sprays into back of mouth, targeting the throat. Hold for a moment and swallow.

Made from just three ingredients: organic Ashwagandha grown in the Northeast, water and non-gmo spirits, our Ashwagandha tincture is a classic “simple”—a preparation of a single medicinal plant. Simples are perfect for those who need the powers of a single plant to meet a specific need.
DESCRIPTION
A revered plant in Ayurveda, India’s more than 2,000 year-old medicine system, Ashwagandha is a calming, warming, moistening, building, slightly sweet, slightly bitter adaptogen that people have been using to recover from stress, strengthen memory and support sleep for centuries.
Our founder is fond of sharing the story of the half-year in 2016 that she took the Ashwagandha tincture she made from roots dug at the farm on which she had worked the previous season, every day, and became able to recall crystal clear memories from childhood that she had never before remembered and wake from a night’s sleep feeling more rested.
We are so happy to share this Ashwagandha with you and hope it supports your ability to do the work you are meant to do in the world.

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) root*, non-gmo spirits and water

Made from just two ingredients: organic, farm-grown Kava and non-gmo spirits, our Kava-Kava tincture is a classic “simple”—a preparation of a single medicinal plant. Simples are perfect for those who need the powers of one herbal ally to meet a specific need.
DESCRIPTION
Native to Polynesia, Kava-Kava is a remedy for those seeking relief from restless thoughts and physical discomfort. The word “kava” means “bitter” in Tongan; Kava is referred to as Awa in Hawai’i. The presence of kavalactones in the root of Piper methysticum support muscle-relaxation and a feeling of gentle euphoria. Kavalactones modulate GABA, a neurotransmitter that helps to reduce excitability in the brain.
In the management of stress and body aches, we sometimes need to draw on a plethora of resources. Consider our Kava-Kava Simple to be one steadfast ally as you navigate worry and physical discomfort.
We are proud to source the Kava root in our Kava-Kava Simple directly from an organic farm on the island of Hawai’i that we trust.

From there, Jess will take a few days to review your conversation, investigating plants and practices that will be supportive to you. She may touch base with you with additional questions that arise in the process of matching you with herbs.
Having done so, she will suggest a protocol that includes herbal, culinary, movement and meditation strategies that will be supportive to you, sending her thoughts via a written protocol that includes guides and suggestions on further reading.
Jess will guide you in exploring the strategies that hold the most resonance for you. She will be present with you in implementing the herbal protocol and make herself available to walk through questions that arise.

About sliding scale
Jess is a working-class Black plant worker for whom access to quality, compassionate care would not be possible without the sliding scale model. She offers this scale as an act of solidarity with other working-class and unwaged people.
Sliding scale is a container that takes into account our differing levels of access to resources. In choosing what to pay, you are encouraged to select a figure from the drop-down menu that meets your needs, while keeping your proximity to various forms of privilege in mind.
For folks with access to middle-class and high-wage labor, family or partner financial support, investment income and other forms of privilege, please pay on the higher end of the scale. Doing so helps Jess make her work available to community.
